Hello everyone..this post is all about the new Maybelline FITme foundation. I wanted a perfect match for my skin tone, so I went to lifestyle’s makeup section and researched a bit. I tried Maybelline fit me range, and they have got so many products in this range but there are only few shades of foundation available here in India. They suggested me Maybelline fit me matte and poreless foundation in the shade 310 sun beige, and this one suited me perfectly and looking at the price I made my mind to get it. It costed me INR525. I bought one online as well before buying this one only because I didn’t had time to visit store and oh god! that was a bit of mistake I made because I got 322 warm honey and that one is bit darker than my skintone. Well now I use the Maybelline FIT me foundation 322 shade for giving a bit of sun kissed look to my face. I like this quality that it blends very well into my skin.
The Maybelline FIT me foundation comes in a glass bottle with no pump or dropper which is a drawback because it’s kind of difficult to take it out. But I think one can manage with that by taking it out a small amount on the back of the hand and then apply it. The lid is black in colour and opens up on turning it as you can see in the images.
What The Maybelline FIT me foundation claims:
This ultra-lightweight foundation contains micro-powders that absorb oil for a matte and poreless-looking finish
Unique formula goes beyond matching just skin tone and also matches the texture of normal to oily skin for the ultimate natural fit.
Dermatologist and allergy tested, this mattifying foundation does not clog pores and is oil-free.
What is my Review:
I think that it does what it says when I used it. I got a combination skin, my T-zone is oily and the area around mouth is a bit dry. So I really have to cleanse then moisturize my skin and then have to start off with my makeup. The consistency of the Maybelline FIT me foundation is neither too running nor too thick. Its kind of a medium consistency like a creamy consistency. But one important thing is that this foundation dries quickly. You really have to work fast whilst applying it. So when I applied the foundation, I took a small amount of it on the back of my hand and dot it over one side of my face and then blended it using my fingers quickly, and then I repeated the same thing on the other half of my face. It blended so well with the skin, doesn’t feel heavy at all and it feels skin like. It does gave me a matte look which doesn’t look like I have applied foundation. Its perfect for daily use when you need coverage also but don’t wanna have too much on the face. A small amount is enough. You can see in the images below, I have applied a small amount of it on my hands and it has even down the tone.
Only thing that bothers me is the packaging but that certainly reflects in the price. Also, the smell is not soothing. It smells like paint but it fades away after a couple of minutes of application. I would like to say its worth of what it does in this amount of price.
